Julian Hall is Transforming Education Through Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Julian Hall
Founder, Ultra Education
Julian Hall, known widely as “The Ultrapreneur,” is a leading figure in the field of youth entrepreneurship education. As the founder of Ultra Education CIC, Julian has spent years building a national movement that empowers young people, especially those from underrepresented and disadvantaged communities, to turn their ideas into businesses, their voices into power, and their passions into purpose.
With a career rooted in technology, education and social impact, Julian has scaled Ultra Education into a multi-award-winning organisation. Through workshops, school programmes, mobile games, and mentorship, he has helped thousands of young people explore entrepreneurship as a tool for personal development, financial independence, and long-term empowerment.
As a member of Do it Now Now’s Community Advisory Board, Julian brings strategic insight, lived experience, and a vision for embedding entrepreneurship into the cultural fabric of community empowerment.
Building a Blueprint for Youth Success
Julian’s entrepreneurial journey began at 18, driven by a desire to break through the limitations of postcode and circumstance. With a background in technology and investment banking, he channelled his skills into designing solutions that could shift the trajectories of young lives. Today, his initiatives continue to reach children across the UK through programmes delivered in schools, communities and digital spaces.
From Start-up Dash, the UK’s first children’s entrepreneurship mobile game, to YoBuDi, the world’s first youth business marketplace, Julian’s innovations make business education engaging and accessible. His work is grounded in the belief that children are never too young to dream big or take control of their futures.
His academic contributions are equally impactful. As Entrepreneur in Residence at The Open University, Julian has co-authored three entrepreneurship degrees and continues to shape how institutions approach enterprise education.
Aligning with DiNN to Scale Impact
Julian’s partnership with Do it Now Now is based on shared values. Both Ultra Education and DiNN place community transformation at the core of their work. They understand that impact goes beyond numbers. It must be felt, seen, and experienced through real-life change.
Julian sees DiNN as a space where peers and professionals come together in meaningful collaboration. The environment is one of care, intention and progress, providing the support Black-led impact organisations need to grow. His contributions to the Advisory Board include insight into beneficiary-led programme design, long-term strategic thinking and the practical application of artificial intelligence in service delivery.
His journey is one of transformation, and his work with DiNN reflects his belief that support must be culturally relevant, systemically informed and consistent.
A National Vision for Entrepreneurial Empowerment
Julian is focused on building sustainable systems that continue to benefit young people for generations to come. His work is driven by a commitment to community wealth building, parental engagement and breaking down systemic barriers that limit access to opportunity.
He has been widely recognised for his impact, receiving the Virgin Unite Founders Award, the British Citizen Award for services to education, and endorsements from Sir Richard Branson. He has also been granted Freedom of the City and is a Freeman of the Company of Entrepreneurs, further cementing his legacy as a leader in this space.
Through his work with DiNN, Julian is helping to ensure that youth entrepreneurship education is not a niche initiative, but a national movement.
A Final Word
“Get involved and take full advantage of the support. The resources, care and consistency of the DiNN team create an ecosystem where real, lasting change is not just possible, it’s already happening.”

About the Community Advisory Board at Do it Now Now
At Do it Now Now, we empower Black people with the skills, tools, and resources they need to lead, influence, and create the future, for themselves and their communities. Our values are clear: We are ambitious. We believe in community. We build trust.
The Community Advisory Board plays a central role in shaping how we deliver on our mission. Made up of individuals who have taken part in our programmes, the board brings lived experience, insight and accountability to the heart of our work. Members understand the journey of Black-led charities and social enterprises and use that knowledge to guide our programme design and resource development.
Through quarterly meetings, the Advisory Board co-produces aspects of DiNN’s strategy, research priorities, and storytelling. Members provide valuable feedback, healthy challenge and forward-thinking recommendations, ensuring that our work remains community-led, impact-driven, and aligned with our vision of systemic equity.
Together, we are building stronger foundations for the next generation of Black leaders.
