Nureen Glaves is Redefining Health Equity Through Innovation and Advocacy
Nureen Glaves
Founder and CEO, Feed Me Good
Nureen Glaves is a social entrepreneur, health equity advocate, and the founder and CEO of Feed Me Good, a Community Interest Company transforming how communities access and experience health education in the UK. Over the past 11 years, her work has reached more than 6,000 people, generated £30 million in social value, and sparked important conversations about food justice, education, and systemic change.
With a clear focus on creating culturally relevant, CPD-accredited health resources, Nureen is reshaping public health education to be more inclusive, accessible and actionable. At the core of her mission is a commitment to amplifying marginalised voices and delivering solutions that reflect real needs.
As a member of Do it Now Now’s Community Advisory Board, Nureen brings a wealth of insight, lived experience and strategic clarity to the work of strengthening Black-led organisations and social enterprises.
Building Solutions from Purpose and Lived Experience
Becoming a mother reshaped Nureen’s professional path and reaffirmed her purpose. She wanted her work to be more than a job, it needed to bring meaning, connection, and change. That’s when Feed Me Good was born. What began as a vision to improve health literacy has grown into a national platform supporting wellbeing, community resilience and equity through food and education.
Known as “the connector,” Nureen is someone who sees both the detail and the bigger picture. She brings people, systems and ideas together to create lasting transformation. Her ability to link complex problems with clear, community-led solutions has positioned her as a trusted leader in both grassroots and institutional spaces.
Her perspective as a disabled Black woman also informs her advocacy. She brings a depth of understanding to conversations around access, equity and innovation, helping others recognise that real inclusivity is more than a policy—it’s a practice.
A DiNN Journey Grounded in Innovation and Strategy
Nureen’s relationship with Do it Now Now includes her participation in both the Innovate Now Programme and the Impact on Urban Health – Climate Action and Health Fund. Each experience confirmed what she already knew: there is a critical need for more honest conversations and inclusive funding pathways in the social impact space.
Through DiNN, Nureen found a network of peers and mentors who not only understood the challenges of social entrepreneurship but were actively building solutions. The programmes gave her the opportunity to reflect, implement and grow her organisation while staying grounded in purpose.
Now, as part of the Advisory Board, she continues to contribute that same strategic thinking to DiNN’s future, helping to co-design programmes that respond to the real needs of community entrepreneurs.
Leading the Future of Inclusive Health
Nureen is committed to building the most trusted resource for health equity in the UK. Her work with Feed Me Good is expanding the definition of public health to include community voices, lived experiences and culturally relevant knowledge. Her approach combines innovation with lived insight, and her leadership is rooted in collaboration and system-wide thinking.
She understands that income generation and partnerships are key to sustainable impact. That’s why she advocates for blended financial models and supports Black entrepreneurs in building lasting, scalable ventures. Through her work, she helps others build confidence, gain access, and navigate systems that weren’t built with them in mind.
Her legacy is already visible, in the lives changed, the barriers broken, and the policies influenced. But she is not done. Nureen continues to question what’s possible and to show what’s necessary.
A Final Word
“Just do it, and take it seriously. Use the knowledge, apply the tools, and stay connected. There’s power in implementation, and DiNN gives you everything you need to take the next step.”

About the Community Advisory Board at Do it Now Now
At Do it Now Now, we empower Black people with the skills, tools, and resources they need to lead, influence, and create the future, for themselves and their communities. Our values are clear: We are ambitious. We believe in community. We build trust.
The Community Advisory Board plays a central role in shaping how we deliver on our mission. Made up of individuals who have taken part in our programmes, the board brings lived experience, insight and accountability to the heart of our work. Members understand the journey of Black-led charities and social enterprises and use that knowledge to guide our programme design and resource development.
Through quarterly meetings, the Advisory Board co-produces aspects of DiNN’s strategy, research priorities, and storytelling. Members provide valuable feedback, healthy challenge and forward-thinking recommendations, ensuring that our work remains community-led, impact-driven, and aligned with our vision of systemic equity.
Together, we are building stronger foundations for the next generation of Black leaders.
