Anansi Theatre Company is a Derby-based theatre company led by and for women of colour, creating bold, socially engaged work that centres underrepresented voices and stories. Since launching in 2021, Anansi has produced theatre, workshops, and community projects that champion creativity, cultural identity, and access to the arts. Through performance, education, and advocacy, Anansi is committed to building spaces where women and girls of colour can be seen, heard, and empowered.

Being recognised by Do it Now Now is a meaningful affirmation of the work we’ve been building through Anansi Theatre Company. The most exciting part is the opportunity to connect with other changemakers, celebrate community-led impact, and raise the profile of work that centres women and girls of colour in the arts.
