Purpose Statement 

This role will sit in our Learning and Programmes team which is responsible for all the training and support, service design and development, and grant-making and social investment work that DiNN does. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with our Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes, and other team members to deliver impactful programmes to our community. Specifically, you will be responsible for the implementation of our delivery/operational strategy through effective use of software systems, and quality assurance amongst our various programmes through the creation and management of practices and procedures. We are looking for someone personable and detail oriented to help us achieve our goals. 

You will actively ensure the professional development and systems adherence of our freelancers, quality of all freelancer delivery across our learning and capacity building programmes, recruitment and management of freelancers tied to our delivery, follow-through and set up of key delivery systems, quality of our systems to deliver service user support and championing the empowerment of our service users within our systems.

You will develop new models and practices of working within our systems, based on the learnings we are receiving from our monitoring, evaluation and research activities. You will take an innovative approach to delivering impact consistently seeking opportunities to be cost-effective while delivering great impact through our activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Support

  • Work with the Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes to realise our vision, deliver our ambitious strategy and provide leadership regarding championing our service users within our systems, adherence to practices and procedures relating to the delivery of our learning and programmes.

  • Work on strategic and tactical issues facing the team alongside the Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes and the other members of the team.

  • Lead as an autonomous, decisive organisation leader. Not merely raising problems but also proactively working with others to solve them.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing key direction and expertise on the systems, practices and procedures of the Learning and Programmes team to the rest of the organisation as required.

Programme Design and Delivery

  • Design, operationalise and implement service user support mechanisms through systems like Airtable and Monday.com, to create impactful capacity-building and entrepreneurship education according to the requirements of our funded programmes.

  • Ensure an impactful, holistic learning experience for our participants through effective communications throughout the recruitment, applications, onboarding and offboarding stages of the programme.

  • Manage the delivery of the experience of our service users on our learning management system (on Mighty Networks) ensuring information is properly organised and data is captured to measure the effectiveness of our learning content.

  • Ensure effective onboarding and offboarding of stakeholders such as speakers, trainers, and key experts that support the delivery of our training programmes, making sure they have access, training and the ability to utilise our resources to achieve their deliverables.

Quality Improvement

  • Ensure all aspects of the programmes are captured in keeping with best practice on monitoring and evaluation, sharing learning with colleagues consistently.

  • Analyse data and feedback to monitor progress towards progression targets, planning and implementing remedial actions where necessary.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, performance metrics, and client satisfaction surveys and implement improvements as needed.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Work closely with the finance and operations team members to ensure that all freelancers are effectively contracted, paid etc.

  • Support the Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes and Programme Managers in the management of the budgets related to the programmes by keeping stellar records and reporting effectively.

  • Work with the Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes to ensure that we have a strong infrastructure that allows us to effectively track our engagement with our stakeholders, recruitment partners, speakers and experts, service users and other suppliers.

Team Development

  • Support the Deputy Head of Learning and Programmes to drive performance management processes and take an active role in identifying areas for improvement in the team members and providing them with the targeted support they need to achieve their development goals.

  • Develop the key processes and practices to ensure the smooth running of the programmes by applying project management best practices to the delivery of the work.

  • Work collaboratively to identify and develop new opportunities, and help to shape and grow our work.

  • Work with senior leaders, aligning on project goals, and reporting back on progress on the agreed project, insights, and future plans.

  • Provide updates to senior leaders on progress through spreadsheets and headline reports on opportunities and challenges.

  • To carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by your line manager.

Skills Specification

We are specifically looking for the following:

  • Essential - demonstrable work experience as an events manager managing multiple events/programmes simultaneously

  • Essential - strong project management skills

  • Essential - demonstrable work experience as a trainer or facilitator

  • Essential - experience delivering coaching interventions

  • Essential - experience in building strong partnerships with varied stakeholders

  • Essential - experience in delivering systems-based working

  • Essential - strong data analysis skills and insights skills 

  • Desirable - project management qualification, e.g. Prince II/ Agile/ PMP

Benefits

  • Annual leave – significantly above legal minimum with 28 days annual leave + bank holidays (contractual.) 

  • Pensions - All eligible employees will be enrolled in the DiNN pension scheme except for those who have contracts of three months or less. DiNN contributes an amount equivalent to 3% of the basic annual salary. (contractual.)
