Nadine Robinson is Building Healing Pathways for Black Women and Young People Through Writing
Nadine Robinson
Founder, New Pathway Narratives
Nadine Robinson is a founder, journal therapist and life coach who brings her lived experience and deep empathy to her work. As the leader of New Pathway Narratives, a community interest company offering writing therapies for young people, Nadine focuses on nurturing emotional wellbeing through creativity. Her connection with Do it Now Now began as a programme participant and grew into a facilitation role. Since joining the Community Advisory Board in 2023, she has been an insightful and passionate contributor to our work.
Her voice carries both experience and intention. Every part of her story informs her commitment to fostering safety, resilience and expression in the communities she serves.
Writing Through Change and Growth
Nadine’s journey began with writing as a safe space. Her early years were shaped by the challenges of school bullying and the need to adapt to different environments. When books and journals became her outlet, a lifelong relationship with storytelling was born. Creativity remained a constant thread throughout her life, whether in graphic design, makeup artistry or fine art.
Motherhood came early. Her son’s cancer diagnosis and her father’s own illness tested the limits of strength. In those years, Nadine learned to balance caregiving with the pursuit of self-knowledge. Through loss, healing and a return to education, she discovered that her purpose could be both personal and communal. She later completed a Bachelor’s in English Literature and Media and went on to study Black British Writing at the master’s level.
The foundation for New Pathway Narratives grew out of this time. As her writing evolved, so did her mission to create healing spaces for others.
Grounded in Community and Intentionality
Nadine’s definition of impact is rooted in meaningful change. Her work provides support for those ready to reconnect with themselves. She helps others access tools for self-expression and healing, and in doing so, encourages them to find clarity and confidence. Rather than focusing on external measures of success, she builds impact through personal connection and community.
She believes strongly in the importance of safe spaces for Black individuals, especially women and young people. Through her leadership, NPNarratives has become a place where participants can express themselves freely and begin to reclaim their sense of agency.
Looking ahead, she hopes to host regular local and international retreats to bring people together in healing environments. Her creative work continues to expand through self-published books, poetry and journals that explore themes of self-love, grief and transformation.
Staying True to the Vision
For Nadine, starting was the most significant milestone. Taking the first step represented a turning point. It reflected the strength to trust in her own gifts and bring them into public spaces. Her books — Returning Home to Self, Unfolding with Ease and All of Me — are examples of that commitment.
She wants to see a world where female entrepreneurs actively support one another across sectors. Her vision includes a professional culture of sisterhood and solidarity, where success is shared and community is central.
Nadine’s personal motto is simple: everything begins and ends with you. It speaks to the balance between inner grounding and collective care. She carries this message into her work, encouraging others to grow, reflect and act with purpose.
A Final Word
“Stay true to your vision. Your approach matters. Even in difficult times, there is always something to learn. Keep moving forward with intention.”

About the Community Advisory Board at Do it Now Now
At Do it Now Now, we empower Black people with the skills, tools, and resources they need to lead, influence, and create the future, for themselves and their communities. Our values are clear: We are ambitious. We believe in community. We build trust.
The Community Advisory Board plays a central role in shaping how we deliver on our mission. Made up of individuals who have taken part in our programmes, the board brings lived experience, insight and accountability to the heart of our work. Members understand the journey of Black-led charities and social enterprises and use that knowledge to guide our programme design and resource development.
Through quarterly meetings, the Advisory Board co-produces aspects of DiNN’s strategy, research priorities, and storytelling. Members provide valuable feedback, healthy challenge and forward-thinking recommendations, ensuring that our work remains community-led, impact-driven, and aligned with our vision of systemic equity.
Together, we are building stronger foundations for the next generation of Black leaders.
