About
Afrikindness is an award-winning non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families by addressing cultural, racial, and social barriers that impact wellbeing and development. We work at the intersection of parenting, education, and community engagement, delivering training, workshops, and programmes that equip parents, professionals, and communities with the knowledge and tools to better support children, including those who are neurodiverse. Through advocacy, research, and partnership working, Afrikindness is committed to fostering inclusion, strengthening families, and creating environments where every child can thrive.
What’s the most exciting part of being a DiNN One To Watch for you or your organisation?
The most exciting part is the opportunity to amplify our impact at the right time in our journey. Being recognised as a “One to Watch” affirms the work we are doing and opens doors to new partnerships, learning, and visibility. It allows us to strengthen our voice around the issues we care about - supporting families, addressing cultural and racial barriers, and advancing inclusion, while accelerating our growth so we can reach and support even more communities.
