About

African Culture Network (ACN) is a community-led organisation based in Oldham, dedicated to helping children and families connect with their African heritage through culture, language, music, and storytelling.

Through weekly culture classes and community events, ACN creates inclusive spaces where young people can build confidence in their identity while fostering unity and understanding across diverse communities.

Our work focuses on early engagement, intergenerational learning, and making cultural education accessible, particularly for families facing economic challenges.

What’s the most exciting part of being a DiNN One To Watch for you or your organisation?

Being recognised as a “One to Watch” is incredibly encouraging for us as a growing community organisation. It affirms the importance of the work we are doing and motivates us to continue creating meaningful impact for children and families.

We are especially excited about the opportunity to share our journey with a wider audience, connect with like-minded organisations, and inspire more communities through cultural education and engagement.
