Ugo Ikokwu is the Director of Investments and Grants at Do it Now Now, and currently works for Trust for London (TfL) as a grants manager across the grants and social investment team. Previously, he was programme director at The Fore Trust, responsible for managing the grants making activity of the Trust to enable UK-based small charities and social enterprises to unlock sustainability, efficiency, scale, and impact by providing unrestricted funds.
Before this, he spent six years working at The Social Investment Business (SIB) where he worked across several teams – Investment, Grants and Business Development. Ugo has worked within the social sector for well over a decade and has extensive knowledge and experience of designing programs and funds that address a range of social issues. He has managed small- and large-scale programmes ranging from £1 - £120million pounds of investments into charities, social enterprises and SMEs made up of grants, loans, and equity. He advises charities and social enterprises on their fundraising and business development strategy, as well as other areas to do with building their capacity.
He is also a Advisory Board Member for Intaconnected, YSYS and Queen Mary University Social Venture Fund, Trustee and Treasurer of London Funders and Chair of the Alpha Grove Centre and School Governor at Haberdashers Knights Academy and a member of the local governing body
