Katherine Sladden is a member of Do It Now Now's Futures Board. Katherine is a campaigns strategist who has been at the forefront of some of the biggest and most high profile social justice and women’s rights campaigns in the UK.
As founding Campaigns Director at Change.org UK, Katherine delivered multiple winning campaigns driving growth for the world’s largest petition site and biggest activism platform in the UK. She's worked on campaigns including putting a woman on a banknote, 'No Page 3', and changing the law for 16 year olds in police custody. In recent years she has supported Grenfell United, a group of bereaved families and survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire, to achieve real and systemic change so that a disaster like Grenfell never happens again. Katherine has also worked with and advised leading international purpose driven organisations and global activists alike, including the ONE Campaign, Virgin Unite and Nobel prize nominee Jaha Durereh. Now she is setting up a non-profit called Breakthrough, the first of its kind social impact accelerator for campaigns, and is excited to be supporting Do It Now Now on its mission to create a world in which every Black person has the skills, tools and resources they need to lead, influence and create the future for themselves and their community. |
