Do it Now Now (DINN) is an open innovation organisation committed to the social empowerment to Black people through the provision of access to opportunities for social mobility through entrepreneurship and employment. We bring skilled talent, charities, social entrepreneurs, start-up teams, social innovators, investors and philanthropists together to address social challenges, solve problems and support the development of underserved groups.
We have an unrivalled track record in understanding and supporting the needs of talent through research we have undertaken and the programmes we have delivered. Our team has deep experience and knowledge in the design and delivery of training programmes with 3 of the skills programmes we have designed being named Top in Europe by the Financial Times’ imprint Sifted in 2019. Our not so secret method is our propensity to put our participants at the heart of everything we do, underpinned by a strong impetus to collaborate with partners with sector knowledge. This is why we have received such praise as “I felt like I was doing an MBA in 4 months”, in relation to our business training program. We regularly receive 4 to 5 stars out of 5 from our beneficiaries and all have said they will recommend our programs to a friend. We are very proud of our beneficiary feedback.
Do it Now Now has developed a methodology that supports the participants and secures the sustainability of their work. It is based on our success in supporting our programme participants through our support activities. We call it ASAP:

Do it Now Now has developed a methodology that supports the participants and secures the sustainability of their work. It is based on our success in supporting our programme participants through our support activities. We call it ASAP:
- Awareness: participants will have a good understanding of their strengths and weaknesses as well as their short, mid and long term goals.
- Self-actualisation: we know there is no linear enterprise path and we teach to support the development of skills that can be used in multiple contexts for that reason.
- Activation: through case studies, simulations and support to apply learning to their context, we provide training that will stay with them when they’re under pressure.
- Personalisation: we develop training with personalisation in mind. We work to understand and are sensitive to the needs of individuals so that we can ensure their success throughout the program.
About the Role
As our Expert in Residence, you’ll be working with our programme participants across one or more of our existing Initiatives or Inclusive Partnerships.
Here is a quick introduction to our Initiatives:
As for the other work you may be involved in, our Inclusive Partnerships team works to apply the learning we have gained through our Initiatives in new and interesting contexts. This often means working closely with our clients to apply our knowledge, evidence and learning for the benefit of underrepresented and underserved communities.
For example, we are working with Paul Hamlyn foundation on the delivery of a long-term training programme that supports 40-50 early stage social impact entrepreneurs annually.
On each of our Initiatives or through our Inclusive Partnerships, we work with expert speakers, trainers, mentors and coaches to provide 1-2-1 sessions, develop and deliver group training sessions, larger scale seminars and events.
The Expert in Residence Programme will run across all our work across the UK and Africa. As an Expert in Residence, you will be invited to support us in the running of our Initiatives and Inclusive Partnerships programmes based on our need for your expertise.
