Community Lead (Employee role)

Title: Community Lead
Employment status: Part-time (8 hours per week - flexible)
Salary: £12 per hour
Location: Remote, UK (must join us in our London office at least once a month)


As a rapidly growing organisation, Do it Now Now’s Community Lead will play a pivotal role in engaging our members on our community-driven platforms. They will work within the Brand and Marketing team to create and share useful content for our community members, and help ensure the smooth running of our events and admin. The successful candidate will centre our user's experience, and support the Community Platform Manager in developing our value-proposition. We're an organisation which is big on empowering staff to flourish and excel, so we're looking for someone passionate, skilled, and keen to contribute to our organisation's mission.

Key responsibilities
  • Be active on the community platform to engage with members
  • Upload weekly articles
  • Upload content for courses and resource hub
  • Research and create content for the Black and Good opportunities board.
  • Review weekly insights on posts on the platform and document metrics 
  • Download and review monthly insight reports and store in relevant folders
  • Understand user’s experience and create guides and roadmaps
  • Review community application forms to send tailored invitations and onboarding emails
  • Assist in digital delivery of events
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on various aspects of the platform during meetings

Skills 
  • Community organisation – organising groups of people for events and initiatives
  • Research skills – finding opportunities and organising information 
  • IT skills and software skills – proficient knowledge of Google tools, Canva and Zoom
  • Communication skills – excellent written and verbal communication skills to form relationships and display engaging content

  • You are passionate about the cause and understand the needs of Black-led platforms.  
  • You're a positive and solutions-oriented
  • You can engage remotely and with autonomy.
  • You’re a team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
